Who you are calling
Eric Flores, owner of Home Crafters United. A career in the trade, and a company since 2019.
I was fifteen the first time somebody paid me to turn a wrench, and I have not really stopped since. The years after that I spent working for other plumbing companies around Maryland, learning the trade the long way — one job at a time, from people who had been doing it longer than I had been alive.
I started Home Crafters United in the spring of 2019 — about a year before the world shut down. That is not timing anybody would pick for a brand new business. But plumbing was considered essential work, so while a lot of shops were closing their doors, I kept mine open.
Pipes still leaked, drains still clogged, and people still needed somebody who would show up. I showed up.
We came through it, and we have been growing ever since.
Last year I earned my MHIC license, and that opened up everything past the pipes — grading and excavation, kitchens and bathrooms, water damage mitigation. Plumbing is still the trade I know down to the bone. For everything else I bring in the right licensed people, and I stay responsible for how it turns out.
That is the whole company. Your home, our craft.
